Al-A'raaf 7:131
فَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْحَسَنَةُ قَالُوا۟ لَنَا هَـٰذِهِۦ ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا۟ بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَـٰٓئِرُهُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
When prosperity came their way, they said, “This is what we deserve[45],” but when adversity befell them, they ascribed it to the misfortune of Moses and those who were with him. Indeed, their misfortune is decreed by Allah, but most of them do not know.
[45] Out of egotism and smugness, they felt they deserved all good things.Al-A'raaf 7:190
فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُمَا صَـٰلِحًا جَعَلَا لَهُۥ شُرَكَآءَ فِيمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمَا ۚ فَتَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
But when He gave them a healthy child, they[85] ascribed partners to Him in that which He had given them. Exalted is Allah far above what they ascribe to Him.
[85] The ungrateful or the polytheistic man and woman.Hud 11:18
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْأَشْهَـٰدُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Who does greater wrong than he who fabricates lies against Allah[10]? Such people will be presented before their Lord[11], and the witnesses[12] will say, “These are the ones who lied against their Lord.” Indeed, Allah’s curse is upon the wrongdoers,
[10] That Allah has a child or associate, or ascribed the Qur’an to the Prophet (ﷺ), or claiming prophethood for themselves. [11] On the Day of Judgment. [12] i.e., the Prophets, the angels and the believers.Maryam 19:91
أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدًا
because they have ascribed to the Most Compassionate a son.
